The Meeker Vineyard
Co-Winemaker Lucas Meeker grew up in the wine business; his earliest memory is a face-in-glass view tasting Zinfandel juice (not wine!) as a toddler in Dry Creek Valley. After graduating from Colgate University in 2007, he returned home to the family winery. Since his return he’s slowly learned and honed the craft of winemaking through his Dad, other winemakers, books, Davis, the internet, and his own mistakes. After starting his own label (so he could “screw it up all by himself”) making primarily Pinot Noir, working and learning non-stop, and badgering his Dad with seemingly useless contrarianism for a few years, he was named Co-Winemaker (with his Dad) prior to harvest in 2011.
